I am know for my humor, detailed work, knowledge of costume history and the ability to illustrate precision sharp emotions.

 

Educated in fashion design in Copenhagen and costume design in London. I love the 18th century and ...well, I'm nuts about research and different periods in history and other cultures.

I have illustrated more than 200 books in Denmark and abroad.

Before I went all-in on illustrating I made props, costumes and painted backgrounds mainly for commercial photographers and for music videos. I also molded cat characters in clay for a film project for Nordisk Film and have hand sewn 18th century uniforms for the museum at Kastellet in Copenhagen.

 

Recently I have studied psychology which helps me to create deeper emotions in my illustrations.

I have authored 5 books. My recent book "Den lille mus og symfoniorkestret" (the little mouse and the symphony orchestra) has just been translated to German and was published in Austria in February 2023.
